Question:
I just turned 16 today and I was going to get my license tomorrow, but I need to know if I have to get my insurance taken care of before I go to the DMV. I already took the test and all that stuff, I just need the license. Can you get your license then register for your insurance? Or is it vice versa?

in Texas and i think most states you don't. Generally you don't have insurance yet because you aren't driving. But no they generally don't ask for it. however i have heard of some states now trying to pass a law saying that once you have your license when you renew it you have to show insurance but that is too make sure that there are insured drivers on the road.I just purchased a new suv at the beginning of the month.?
