What all do i need when i go and take my drivers test??
12 points will get you an automatic 1 year ban unless you can go to court and convince them that losing your licence will have a serious impact on you and your family ie. you're a sales rep and if you lose your licence then you lose your job. If you manage to do this, you'll instead get hit with a whacking great big fine.12 (except for your first 2 years then its only six) If your job depends on having a licence you may be granted special dispensation and drive with over 12 points but this is rare. If you've just been caught your better off asking for a ban. This is often only 14 days, much better than racking up a full set of points and loosing your licence for a year.
12 points & Ur out.
If you are a new driver like me then it's 6 points within the 1st two years,
After the 2 years you are allowed up to 12 points
I purchased GAP insurance on my new car, and it was totalled, what's next?
12So you pass your driving test and go to the garage to buy your first car. Do you?
IN THE FIRST 2 YEARS OF PASSING YOUR TEST IT IS 6 POINTS. AFTER THAT IT IS 12. DRINK DRIVING IS AN AUTOMATIC BAN AS IS BREAKING THE SPEED LIMIT DRIVING OVER 100MPH IN THE UK OR DOUBLE THE SPEED LIMIT E.G. OVER 60MPH IN A 30MPH LIMIT. THERE ARE LOOPHOLES IN THE LAW AND AS ANOTHER ANSWER STATED IF YOU GO TO COURT YOU CAN KEEP YOUR LISENCE IF IT IS YOUR ONLY WAY OF MAKING A LIVING. ALSO IF YOU ARE CONVICTED OF DRINK DRIVING YOU GAN GO ON A REHAB COURSE OF 1 DAY WHITCH REDUCES YOUR BAN BY 3 MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN BANNED TWICE ONCE FOR SPEEDING ONCE FOR DRINK DRIVING. SINCE THEN I HAVE RESEARCHED THE LAW. ALSO THERE IS A WAY OF GETTING OFF WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN CAUGHT ON CAMERA. PLEASE EMAIL FOR MORE DETAILS. I WILL NOT POST THIS PUBLICLYI have a landrover 90, 200tdi first reg 1992, is it liable for the new road tax increase?
Within the first 2 years of pasing your test, if you get 6 points then lose your licence and take the test all over again, theroy and practical. If you have 12 points or more in a 3 year period then you are liable to disqualified under the totting up procedure. For the first totting up offence you normally get a 6 month disqualification - 2nd time 12 months etc.
Are auto insurance deductibles tax deductible?
It is not an automatic disqualification. If you have extenuating circumstances then you may not be disqualified.
However, if you get 6 or more points in the first 2 years off passing your first driving test then you will not be disqualified but you will be revoked under the new drivers act (1995) and you will have to apply for a provisional licence again and take a theroy and practicle test again.
