I doubt it, to be honest; they'll claim traffic conditions are different, rules & regulations are different etc etc . . .

Unfortunately I can't tell you for sure if a UK company will accept it, but In the US if you move from a different country to the US we do have some carriers (Insurance Companies) that will accept a "Letter of Experience" from a previous carrier and give you a claims free as well as experienced drivers discount.

I would recommend that you go ahead and get one from your current carrier just to have for your own records as well if you can get some sort of driving record from Malaysia I would do that as well. You never know, this written documentation might come in handy?
