Only on a professional basis. They are quick to send you the bill but they are way slow to pay when you send them yours. Also, at least here in Nevada, they are being sued constantly for bad faith by their insureds as well as the other party for failing to settle claims. I hate the shady personal injury attorneys out here as much as the next guy, but even the shady ones are complaining about how Progressive sucks and they're sick of suing them but gladly do...and I'm talking about the shady attorneys who are representing people for wrongful death claims, not the hyped up soft tissue claims.

I have friends who work for Progressive and they hate working for them. They are under serious stress to settle all claims on the first call, and that's even when you don't know who all the parties are. If you don't they write you up and eventually fire you for not complying with their "policies & procedures," even when they are unreasonable. Let's see, 3 car rear ender, 2 of the drivers were hauled away by ambulance and the cop didn't give you their info but the police report takes 6 weeks to receive.how the HECK do you find out who the other 2 drivers are when you have NO INFORMATION?

In the summer of '06 I was rear-ended by a Progressive. insured at approx 8:30 am. Nobody was hurt so it was not a major claim. I called Progressive claims to report the claim at approx 9:15 am. The lady told me an adjuster would call me within 2 hours. The adjuster actually called me within an hour and I set up an appointment for them to inspect my truck the following morning at my office. The adjuster called me from the parking lot and wanted to know if I wanted to be present ... I said no. He wrote the estimate and left a copy of it and a check in my truck and then locked the truck for me. I reviewed the estimate and since my truck is a 2002 I had no problem using the used parts that were on the estimate. Technically, I had a check from them a little more than 24 hours after the accident.

You will here good and bad about every company. (Usually more bad then good- because people remember that more) Usually as long as you pick one of the big companies.. your gonna be fine. Plus.. you can't always believe "rumors" people here about companies or one persons experience.
