Not a problem. You're only using the car down south, it's stored down south so doesn't really matter where you live. Only becomes a problem if you take the car up north for extended periods.Have you ever been in the car wreck real bad tell me what happen?
Your insurance and registration should be at your home address.However, the "risk address" on the insurance should be the address where the car is kept - this is not necessarily the same as your home address.

They generally ask what your address is, and where the vehicle is usually kept, I can see no reason why there should be any problem if those are not the same address.
