Question:
my husband said a long time ago this happend to him; his company droped him after 3 accidents even though 2 were not his fault. Now this is happing to my dad his company is dropping him because of 3 accidents and none of which were his fault. can these company's do this? do they have to follow any laws? is there a way to get them to change their minds?
my father is worried about getting dropped because he also has a insurance pollicy on his busness which he can't lose. and he is also worried he will have a hard time finding a new company willing to insure him.

Car Insurance query?

the insurance companies CAN and DO drop people for any reason! it is thier choice to allow the policy to be "renewed"... your dad will be able to find insurance no matter how many accidents...the catch is he'll be paying LOTS more.

Does a ticket for not wearing your seat belt affect your car insurance in CA for a 20 year old?

An insurance company will have its own guidelines as to what claims history will break their threshhold for cancellation. Once the company decides to cancel the policy, they must notify you in writing and it really doesn't matter whether your dad/husband was at fault for any/all of the accidents because after so many, the person becomes an elevated risk for being in an accident.

Florida minimum car insurage recuaitmet?

The business policy is probably a completely separate policy and may not be cancelled too simply because the personal auto policy was being dropped. Your dad can contact another company or other independent agent and have all of his insurance switched before the cancellation goes in effect. He can be quoted by different companies to see if he can save money with one company vs. any other. I definitely recommend using an insurance agent rather than shopping online, the coverages on a business policy are complicated.

Please Help!?

Whether it is his fault or not, a person that gets involved in more than two incidents is considered a high risk driver. You cannot get an insurance co to change their minds, as there are no "minds" to change. You would have to change the companies policy, and that is not done from the outside.

Would it cost alot to add a second "weekend" car onto my Insurance?

No, sometimes you will make application, and they will say "Thank you for your application, but we will not accept you as a customer." Each company sets their own rules and does as they please.
