hi all.
my car has been off the road due to a mechanical fault for the best part of 8 months, its been sorned with the dvla and never moves from my driveway.
the car is a performance car.
the fault was the cambelt snapped causing serious damage and i've slowely been putting it back together when weather and time permit.
ii had done approx 99% of the work and was only hampered by an oil pressure problem.
i have kept the car insured as its worth quiet abit of money
.i returned from a weeks break to find the car gone from my drive.
the car has been stolen and reported to the police, im waiting for the insurance company to send me a claim form and then im sure they will requesting the logbook and mot certificate.
as the car has been off the road such a long time the mot has expired and im worried that my insurance company may try to void my policy.

Well the logbook and mot were in the car RIGHT!!! that was stolen, so the took it when they took the car RIGHT! but the insurance has to pay the claim anyway because it was stolen and as long as you are the owner and your insurance was being paid then you are good to go.How do you get a duplicate copy of your car title?
There should not be a problem.You have declared the car sorn, it was taken off your drive, and was not being used on a public road.
