Question:
I have a '98 Honda Civic LX, and had the muffler replaced last summer. I don't believe there were any rust problems with the connecting pipe. Recently I heard a "ting ting ROAR" when driving, and it sounded like something small fell off the car. The muffler and pipe are no longer connected; they make a "V" but nothing is dragging on the ground. Does it sound like I can just go to an auto parts store & get a bracket, jack up my car, and install it? Do I need to know anything special for this?
Thanks!

My pug 306 LX is reving WAY to high.?
a u-bolt with a backing plate should take care of this, and this is something you can do yourself. you may need a clamp (C clamp here in the 'states, G clamp in europe) to force the u bolt through the backing plate to put the nuts on it to clamp the u bolt around the muffler and pipe.1993 Chevy s10 blazer drop 4wd?
might want to find out WHY this happened, unless you scraped the muffler on a driveway or the like. perhaps an exhaust pipe hanger came loose or broke.
go to the muffler shop...they can cut and weld
Which is the best sportchip i can buy for my car cobalt ss 2.4l?
i think there is a rubber piece thats between the mufler and car...is it still there? there are also 2 hook loooking things on both sides of that bracket , that holds muffler in place...they both still there?it would be alot simpler, just to go to the muffler shop and have it fixed.they have everythiong it takes to get the job done right, but if its just a hanger, you get 1 of those at your parts store.
