in reality there is no gain or loss installing aftermarket exhaust. All you gain is a louder exhaust note. and all you lose is money in your pocket.I lost my car keys, how do I get a new set?

I don't know about the loss of horsepower or mileage - i can't see why you would loose anything, but be very careful about installing headers. they can be a nightmare! I put aftermarket headers on my 1990 ford, and have had nothing but trouble with a header leak that still hasn't gone away. I had the system professionally installed, and since, have taken it apart twice to put in new gaskets, but they just keep blowing out!!!!there are no disadvantages. it will only help.
