Power window on my son's truck won't roll up all the way?

My son's driver's side power window will not roll up all the way. He has put in a new motor and switch for that window, and it still will not go all the way up.

I just got a 98 ford mustang, V6 3.8l and it sounds bad, whats a good deep sounding and semi cheap exhaust??

If he indeed put a good known motor ( not used one) and new switch . The only thing left for him to check the ground and the window mechanism.
First, he should feed the motor directly (with 12 volt DC source) and see what happen.
IF the window star to go up and down easily while is connected directly .
Then he should check the continuity of every single wire has to do the circuit of that window
To make matter more simple. he should test the voltage at the motor connector by connecting volt meter with different polarity configuration.( IF THE READING WITHIN 90% OF THE TOTAL BATTERY VOLTAGE) Then , the problem is between these component(window regulator and the window mechanism)
