Question for you all!?

Question:
This may sound like a bit of a strange question but bear with me...

What do you call the car part that holds the battery in place?

My question is this.. You've had a bump in your car and dont have time/money to get it done at a bodyshop (who want to charge you £150 for the bumper and £170 for painting) .

My car is broken! Can anyone tell me where to find an online diagram, so i can diagnose this problem?

You find two websites selling the bumper you need, with a service option to have the bumper painted to match your car - both sites look ok. Thing is, one of the sites is asking £69.99 for painting and the other is charging £100. Do you go with the cheaper one, or would you go with the more expensive one, in the hope that you will get a better paint job - what kind of job would you get for only £69.99?

I have a 94 mazda 626 V6, it won't pass smog.?

hi this is a good question if the cheaper one happens to be near you i would maybe go and check it out first maybe have a chat with someone face to face and see what sort of reputation it has and sometimes it might be down to the individual who performed the job sometimes paying more doesn't always ensure you get the best job i guess if you could see them both in action then that might make your mind up for you good luck hope you get the result you want

2002 Saturn. I need to replace the switch for the back-up lights. Where is it, and how do you change it?

I would go with the £69.99. "If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is".
Save yourself the hassle, you may end up paying twice in the long run! :)

I have a 98 ranger and im hearing a rattle/popping sound when the suspention articulates?

far as the $69.99 they are useding cheeper paint
and far as the $100 one they are useing beter paint
the more u pay the beter it's going to be
if u get the 69.99 on the paint may fade in a few years and look crapey

i have a scion tc, there's a whistling noise each time i accel, what could it be?

its a coin flip either way. your best bet would be to do a search and try to find some customer reviews on both places in order to get an idea of the quality of their work.

Overcharged for mechanic work?

In all honesty, (having been in a similar position and learnt the hard way)...... take the more expensive option and have it painted at a garage.
Although you could get it done somewhere else and the colour of the paint may be right, it may even come direct from the manufactuers there is ALWAYS a difference in shade'density etc....... At least if you pay to have it done at a garage the the the bodywork eyes can use the original car and his eyes to give you the best possible colour match. Plus if your not happy with the job or finish, you can say so! The price you have quoted doesn't seem unreasonable, still I appreciate its alot of money. But really garage every time for me from now on! m Good luck

Contact both companies and ask what guarantees they give. Its a bumper not a complete paint job!

My car door won't unlock?

Its all very telling the guy to go for the most expensive one because you get what you pay for, but what if the expensive one is over priced?

speedometer on mazda truck?

There is no way of telling what you're getting until you've got it, and if your after a bargain then £69.99 is a bargain. Just speak to them.

69.99 is cheap & to be honist too cheap

Where are my fuel injectors?

With the cost of the paint and undercoat around £15 , and bumpers do not have to be sanded and polished the cheaper one sounds reasonable, as long as it is undercoated properly that is the most important part of plastic spraying , the more expensive one price sounds exorbitant
