I'd have to see the scratches. If they're real minor, you can minimize them with a little rubbing compound. Otherwise you'll have to use paint. Parts stores sell Duplicolor paint and you can match the color well enough that the repair won't be noticeable. First you'll have to sand and primer the area. You have to get it smooth to the touch. If you can feel anything, you'll be able to see it when you're finished. You may need to put a little filler in a deep scratch. There is stuff that comes in a tube for this. If you can't find that, you'll have to use body filler, which means buying a whole lot more stuff than you'll use. For the carpet, I'd recommend water and ammonia and a scrub brush.
