Question:
I had my '03 Honda CRV in to the dealer for a 90,000 mile check up and they said I needed brakes. I am told they are currently at 2.3mm on the front and 2.4mm on the rear. There isn't any squealing and I haven't noticed any problems. (My rotors were machined 7 months ago) At these levels, would it be safe to wait and replace my brakes in a few months?

2.3mm is not much pad, but dealers are known for sending up a red flag when it is not needed. Take the wheel off and check the pad yourself. If it is truly at 2.3-2.4, then you have about 5000 miles of pad left before you need pads and rotors. Otherwise, if you need pads now, just do it yourself and you will not have to turn the rotors. By the way, most shops now do not turn rotors unless they are badly scoared or they want to overcharge you. Usually, you will get two sets of brake pad use out of a rotor, then you just replace the rotor because it is less expensive and safer.
What is the purpose of the blue l.e.d. light on the antenna on my autostart car starter?
At 2+ mm you should have some time depending on how hard a driver you are and if you are involved in a lot of stop and go traffic. If you just had the rotors done 7 months ago I am surprised the brakes were not changed at this time as most of the expense is in the labor.
