My trany shifts in to low to drive . next-time. stays in low gear. I stop.. turn motor off. wait 2 -3 min,s , start it up, shifts in all gears . next times stop > than go. it stays in low gear. I pull off the side , shut motor off , wait..start it up. runs ok

We need to know what kind of vehicle this is an how many miles are on it? Sounds like a late 80's early 90's chrysler product to me. If it is there is a sensor in the front of the transmission that will fix your problem. Take it to a professional or find someone who is expierienced with this problem. then service the tranny.How do you drain the block from a K series rover engine?
Change A.T.F. and filter. While your in there adjust the bands also.Can you use a dual plane intake for mpfi or do you have to use a singleplane?

Most probably solenoid problems in the transmission. Depends on the year too.

Anything else, check the sensors. Unless it is a seventies product or earlier, don;t go looking for band adjustments, they arent there. Newer trannys have automatic adjusters in them.
