Question:
ok i have been told that when you are replacing body panels due to rust (ex cab corner) that it really doesn't do any good because when you weld a new panel on, the location of your welds are going to rust anyways, is there anyway to stop this, or prep this in a way where it won't rust
Answers:
Seep into the metal & cure into a permanent nonporous coating effectively blocking out all moisture.
I had to replace a cab corner on my 76 F-100 and i have not had any problems with rust but on some of the older models u have to use a galvanized primer. I used it and havent had any problems with rust or paint coming loose.
