I have a "95" ford taurus and my friends friend said I needed sub frame cradle mounts, what is the diffrence between a cradle mount and a motor mount? Does the taurus have both or one or the other? I don't want to fix something if it's not the problem I can't afford it and I can'r drive the car ti diffrent shops so I have to get a quote before I take it somewhere

I had to tow a taurus once where the car was driving up a really rough driveway and the entire cradle fell offf the car.

my daughter has a 94 taurus, and we had the motor mount replaced because it would "clunk" while we were driving-mostly when we were slowing down...i don't know about a cradle mount, but it doesn't sound like the same problem we had.the taurus is coming back next year!! it's a great car (until she hit 2 deer)...now it's just a yard decorationSynthetic lube for differentials...a problem?

Cradle mounts are the sub frame mounts that hold the sub frame that the engine and transaxle is held on..Go to your ford dealer they have a recall on replacing these mounts because the rust out and let goMore Questions & Answers ...
