Question:
I was driving my vehicle into a Kohl's and on the entry way there is a curve that is uphill. Well when I pulled in I turned a little too sharp and went over the curb. I thought to myself o well not a big deal. Until I got out, there was a huge dent and scratches all along the side of the bottom of the car. I thought there is no way that a little curb like that dented it and scratched it. The dent is in one spot and there are 2 scratches both are white and are probably 8 inches long. So I went back and looked at the curb and there is a big white decorative rock sitting on the curb. Literally it is on the curb. So I think that Kohl's needs to have their rock moved back and have to pay for the damage. But I am unsure of what to do. Help me plz!!
Answers:
The rock is on the curb? Take the rock to the manager and talk to them about it. Or maybe you could drive better.

You're SOL on this, if anything you could be charged with dangerious driving or undo attention if they really wanted to turn it around on you. You went over the curb, it was your inattention that caused the damage, take responcibility for you own actions. We had a guy come into the garage I work at demanding we buy him a new bumper because when he pulled up he hit his bumper on the curb and damaged it quite badly. He was not a cliant of ours, and then he tried sueing us for it. He lost without a doubt and paid all the expences for lost profits from being in court, (a few thousand dollars). There is nothing you can do about it.
