Also on some of those Novas the oil pan sump was forward in the middle of the engine.. so the steering gear could pass behind the engine.
If that big block has the sump in the back you will run into clearance problems possibly.
Regular big block engine mounts should work.

if your car was a V8 originally you can just use the motor mounts that are in it, a big block will mount right in on small block motor mounts, the only problem is the big block mounts will mount the motor about 1" closer to the steering gear for more room on the passenger side and will sit a little lower in the engine bay for hood clearance, If you decide to run a cowl induction hood on it you won't have to worry about the hood clearance.More Questions & Answers ...
