Before we overreact and jerk the heads off only to find there is no problem with the gaskets lets test the thermostat and make sure it is working properly. After all, if the thermostat is sticking and the engine overheats the engine is programmed to cut back the fuel delivered to the injectors in an attempt to cool the engine off so you can limp it home or to a repair facility. They have had more problems with the thermostats sticking in these engines than blown head gaskets. I should know since I work at an International Truck dealer and have seen this very same problem with the VT-365 which is the same engine as the Ford 6.0. ALWAYS check the BASICS first.

You may also want to check to make sure the front of the radiator is not plugged with debris. Because if you have poor air flow across the radiator, the engine will also overheat and loose power. Have seen that countless times as well

If you warped the head or blew the head gasket, you are going to lose power. The head is likely going to have to be pulled to find out what is going on.
