Question:
I'm buying a used car soon... 98 Dodge Neon with only 22,000 miles on it, great body condition and rarely used... only problem? It's PURPLE! How much would the most basic of paint jobs run me as far as additional cost? Best place to have it done? What is the least expensive color car to insure? Anything I should know before I have my car painted a different color?

A lot of cheaper jobs are going to be very basic - just paint the outside panels (doors, hood, fenders, etc.)... the original color will still be inside the trunk, inside the doors, under the hood and so on.
They charge more to also do those inside parts.

What was the stock motor on a 1966 Dodge Coronet?
DON'T DO IT !! To change color of a car is a major undertaking. Done properly, car must be significantly disassembled. That means doors, windows, lock cylinders, handles & hardware, all removed to be prepped & painted properly, or you will have an ongoing nightmare of paint/tape edges weathering/peeling, etc. exposing original color. Not to mention near total devaluation of an as new car. Major red flag to any future buyer. This should not be done!..dwrMore Questions & Answers ...
