This is a classic sign of a weak or BROKEN motor mount, get it to a garage quick to avoid serious dammage to the car, good luck to youwhat is a reasonable amount of time to repair a damaged car?
If it is an automatic transmission then you probably need to get it flushed... if it is a manual then dont worry about the flush. the fluid isn't going to wear out.Why do I hear that Maaco paint jobs peel after a few years. Bad paint or bad prep?
You didn't say when it's jolting the whole car forward, if it's when you stop or when shifting into gears (reverse, drive, park, etc). If it's when you go into reverse, drive, etc, check the motor mount beneath the transmission on the driver's side. If it's when the car is shifting into different gears and it's shifting very hard (This sounds funny, but I've seen it) check your alternator. See if you can return it to the parts store if it doesn't fix the issue. I had a 95 Sl2 Automatic that had the hard dhifting problem until I replaced the alternator. Alternators create an AC current, then it's converted to DC. However, in some extreme cases, the AC current can bleed out past the rectifier and get into the car's electrical system. Now, here's the kicker: The speed sensor also generates an AC signal. The AC voltage getting past the rectifier can make the computer think the car's speed is WAY different form what it actually is, thus causing it to shift at the EXTREME wrong time.More Questions & Answers ...
