Ethanol and gasoline differ in flashpoints but Ethanol looks for an igniter.. does gasoline do this also??

Question:
The fuel additive ethanol can cause a flashfire since it looks for an igniter - to burn. I don't think that gasoline looks for an igniter- does it? I am concerned about the ethanol additive they are so excited about us consumers using.. Burn baby Burn.

How do you pull the headlight from a 2003 Pontiac Grand AM?

You shouldn't concern yourself about ethanol. It can be used as an additive to gasoline, but it is in fact a fuel by itself. Ethanol is alcohol, the same type of alcohol in any bottle at the liquor store. Our vehicles will run on ethanol just fine, and it is a good idea to get us off gasoline. It is no more dangerous than gasoline. In fact, it is a lower energy fuel than gasoline, meaning that an amount of gas will produce more power than the same amount of ethanol. It is added to gasoline because it attracts water and will pull it out of the gas and then the two fuels separate, leaving a non-diluted gasoline for your engine. It burns just the same as gasoline. Hope this helps.

What do I have to do, or replace to change my car from automatic to manual?

Gas-powered engines use spark plugs. Yup, they start fires. They're supposed to.

Are any of the auto car maintenance chains reliable ??

Yes, ethanol burns easily, and hotter...but it also burns much "cleaner" than gasoline, since it doesn't have the petroleum impurities in it...the reason they are using a 10% mix is to help reduce emissions somewhat. Is it dangerous? All fuels are dangerous...no more so than before they started mixing though...
