the transmission and the starter dont have any relation. Your key is just stuck or you look for a key release near the ignition switch on the steering wheel. But putting the car in reverse while driving is pretty stupid.Try to put in park the key should release. If not turn steering wheel both ways, may be stuck. Set parking brake first.
