I have a 2006 Volkswagen Touareg. I recently bought an OEM navigation unit from EBAY, with an antenna. Basically, I do not get a good signal most of the time. Is there a way I can add a signal booster or a better antenna? Please help.
P.S. I installed the antenna in the dash just below the from windshield.

Still Misfiring?
If you have the electrically heated windshield you need to install the GPS antenna outside. Electrically heated windshields interfere with GPS signals. I use a portable GPS unit and had to buy an external antenna since I travel a lot and frequently encounter heated windshields, especially in northern Europe.
