you dont ask a question, so i assume you are looking for a source to get this paint. a good automotive store(not crappy places like auto zone or oreillys... i mean a real auto parts store) will have the paint sample colors and can mix it up for you. i suggest using a single stage urethane with the hardener. either that or acrylic enamel w/hardener. stay away from base/clear coat. not for wheels.

it isnt wise to paint rims yourself. have it done proffesionally because if you have the slightest mistake; the paint will come off in a matter of days. the wheel spinning makes a lot of g-force, rips paint off if not right kind. also preping it could lead to a disaster. wrong solution; it could repel the pain. if it's not clean enough; the paint wont stick.

has anybody had problems with push starts on BMW?

First I would have the tires removed, then I would sandblast them, then I would have them taken to someone that could powdercoat them, that would be the best way to do rims, cause when in use they get so hot its hard to mess the powdercoat up!
