Usually discs need change after 20,000 to 40,000 mile. You have done wonderful that you have driven 1,65,00.00 . Your ar enearling soon for engine overhaul.either your being conned or your wheel alignment is way out , go to a tyre garage and pay about £20 to have your tracking done , ask one of the guys if he thinks your brakes loOK ok while he's sorting your tracking , he'll probably tell you at a glance no extra charge .

Brake wear is all about use. It is not affected by time or wheel alignment or some of the other nonsense listed above.If you have a 50-mile/day highway commute with 2 stops (one at each end of the trip) you are going to get a lot more miles out of your brakes than someone driving the identical car on a 50 mile commute with 20 stops.
You may want to look at your driving habits too. Do you brake when you don't really need to (riding the brakes)? Do you accelerate like a madman from light to light? That kind of stuff.

if you drive with your foot on the break pedal you wear out your pads and rotors really fastYes. You should have your brake pads replaced periodically. Try not stomping on the brakes so much, start slowing down further away from the stop sign, etc. if possible.
