Question:
I own a 1996 Cadillac Eldorado. After how many miles should I get a general tune-up? 25K? 50K?
Answers:
Most tuneups will last 25,000 miles, but you want to watch for signs that it needs service before that...slight hesitation, running not quite as smooth, etc.

"Tune up" is not a good term if you want to get what your car needs without replacing stuff you don't need. Refer to your GM auto maintenance schedule for the best information. The most often needed maintenance is engine oil changes.Oldsmobile Delta 88 1993 How to reset the security light ?
It will break down oftern enough to ensure that parts as well as fluids don't stay long. Every time the replace a cylinder block half-case gakset (always leak in a northstar), they chage oil. When they replace a water pump - coolant is changed. New transmission usually comes with fresh fluid...It's all about convenience :-)
