I had my service engine soon light come on and i had it checked at the parts store at the code read to replace egr valve. i have installed a new one and have had the code reset several times because it keeps coming on. the car is running fine and no idling or missing problems. anyone know how to get in the dash to remove the bulb for the service engine soon light?

Simply resetting the light does not solve the initial cause of the problem.

fords have a sensor that tells the computer if the egr is working I think that the sensor is probably the problem. You may want to consider fixing the problem instead of removing the light because later if you have a real problem that can damage your engine you won;t know it until it is to late.Is there something wrong with my car fuse?

thats a very bad idea! if you pull out the bulb and something really bad happens you could be looking at a serious engine failure. ill tell you something you might try is tightening your gas cap very tight and if that dont fix it try replacing it. the fuel tanks are pressurized and VERY sensitive to this. this is a very common problem on mustangs around your year.(i know,i have a 96 mustang and is really easy to not get it tight enough). good luck!Car overheating after driving a long distance?

You may have never needed any parts. Have you checked for blocked passages? Does your DPFE work? Is a vaccum hose off?
