Is your car throwing any OBD2 Codes? It's a '98 right? You might want to borrow one from an Autoparts place and see what codes you get.It may be your fuel pump, but on Saturns there are a few things you need to look at before assuming fuel issues.

Have you changed spark plugs and wires recently? If so, make sure the wires are placed in the order 4-1-2-3 on the Coils. This is a common mistake that has the same symptoms you mentioned: car starts, then shuts itself off.

If not, perhaps cleaning the ignition coil towers may help.
Saturns do have MAP Sensor, but is probably not your problem. However, if you want to check your sensor, follow these instructions:

I've posted this on one of your other questions (fuel filter question), but you may want to replace your ECTS... it's a common problem for Saturns and is not consistent with your current problems, but you may want to swap it out anyway:

Bad fuel pump. Why does my check engine light come on?
Your car is "EFI", isn't it? Yes, it has a mass air flow sensor, or equivalent, in the air intake plenum, or on top of the plastic air filter housing...but I don't think that is what is causing poor idle and running rough?Try looking all around the engine compartment and on the engine for all the little rubber vacuum hoses, one or more could have split or broken off...there are a "bunch" all over, so take your time. It sounds like you have a very bad air leak, so the vacuum booster on the brake master cylinder could be the reason too..
That is my best guess right now, as fuel pumps normally fail suddenly, not over time...

check your throttle position sensor if you get incorrect readings from this it can give you that effect. You may also look for a vacuum leak.Does anyone know what it costs to replace a waterpump on a 2003 cavalier ,?
