nothing special kind of nice because of the thermostat has a built in rubber gasket. I think I just removed the air filter hose on top and that was about it.

How does a diesel engine work?

just look to see where the upper rad hose goes , you may half to remove some things to get to it then its just like 1970 for the exception when you tighten the bolts back down don,t over tighten them as the thermostat housing is aluminum and will break if you over tighten it.

same old same old just a few more things in the way -make sure and run a 195degree t-stat though and make sure and get the fail safe -lil more money but worth it
