My 2000 grand vitara is making a rattling noise on the engine, what is wrong?

Question:

Answers:

Head gasket installation?

Most times if your engine is running good and you hear a noise it is just a pulley .Do`nt try checking with the engine running or when it`s hot.Sometimes you can just shake the pulleys by hand to find out if they are loose or worn.Sometimes if it is`nt to loud it is best to just leave it alone. You can buy a stethoscope at Auto Zone pretty cheep that will help you hear where the noise is coming from but you have to be very careful and keep away from belts and moving parts.
