If it is the DRIVER'S DOOR window you are referring to, you will need to remove the driver's door panel to access. To remove the driver door panel, simply pry up on the master window and lock control bezel, this will give you access to the one of the three or four screws you need to remove. The other screws are on the bottom and side of the door panel. Since this is a Grand Marquis, there may be two additional screws behind the "grab handle" that require removal. Once removed, with the electrical connections and window control out of the way, simply pull door panel UPWARD (toward the sky), and then OUTWARD (toward YOU) to remove. Very carefully remove the moisture shield to gain access to the window regulator mechanism. Temporarily reconnect the window control, so you can adjust the position of the window to give you unobstructed access to the two rivets that secure the window glass to the regulator. With a suitably sized punch, "knock" the centers of the two rivets out. Using a suitably sized drill bit, drill out the two rivets that secure the glass. You may need to remove the rubber belt moulding to gain the necessary clearance to remove the window glass. Once removed, install the replacement glass carefully, and secure with two new rivets. You may need to "borrow" a rivet gun for this. The rest of the installation is just the exact reverse of removal. Hope this helps.

What is water wheel?

first, it depends on why are you replacing it. if it is because the glass is bad, you will need a new piece of glass, and some window glue. it is a rather involved process. you will have to take the door apart on top so you can get the glass out. you will also have to take apart the track, to get the window off of it so you can remove it. when the window comes out, it will have a metal piece on the bottom, that you have had to disconnect to get the window out. you will have to carefully remove the metal track off the glass, probally cutting the adhesive loose. once the old window is out of this channel, you will have to remove any remaining glue out of it. next, you will have to glue the new window in, and install it and put everything back together.
