I am about to take my '78 Trans Am in for a new paint job. The old color was gold, but now is very faded and dull. The problem is that I was never much of a gold type of person. I was hoping to repaint it a black or metallic blue, but I sometimes thinkmaybe I should just repaint it gold. I've heard that the value will go down if you change the color, but by how much? And the interior, the seats are faded so would it be okay to use a high quality vinyl paint or would it flake? I will replace the carpet too, it is very faded. What do you think about gold anyway? Just repaint it any color you want...Don't worry about matching the interior.. I bet it needs redone anyway...
