Question:
i had a problem with my 1990 eclipse where the car would tick and die, the ticking came from the EFI fuel control relay. i cleaned the injectors in a ghetto way with WD40 but it seemed to work really well, all the gunk and build up got out of it and when i reinstalled the fuel injectors the car worked as good as new. i used some lucas fuel injector cleaner to get rid of the residual build up in the fuel system, the fuel filter is new and the gas gets to the fuel rail just fine with no problems. i left the car thinking i was done and i was putting the relay back onto the car when the housing shell cover thing over the relay came off and the relay touched the side of the car ang sparked. i thied the car and it now seems to have the same problem as it did before i cleaned the injectors except this time the engine will turnover but not start. i dont know if its because i didnt put new o-rings on the injectors when i reinstalled them or if it is because of the spark...

what's the best way to deal with a rust spot on a car door?
Check the fuses and replace the relay.how to start a fuel injection vehicle in cold weather?
If you saw a spark and now the car wont start I would start by first checking my fuel system fuses, then find a pinout schematic for the relay you were working with and run the relay thru a test and make sure it closes when you put voltage to it. I'd almost bet its a blown fuse.remember to disconnect the battery when working on any electrical system
