What other kind of cars seats or year of caprice will fit into an 88 caprice?

im trying to find a front seat for an 88 chevy caprice.. so far no luck.. ive tried ebay and other websites and no junk yards around have them so im trying to see if there is any other year of Caprice or any other model of car that a seat will fit.. my car has 50/50 bucket seats and if it matters or helps its a 5.7L 350 V8 engine w/ a police pack.. ***please answer only if you know a real answer***. even if you know a way that I can convert to power seats from another model or year that can help but it will have to be an easy way because i will be doing all the work myself lol..

find a seat that is the same width from door to door. preferbly a gm seat. you will have to take the mounting rails off your old seat and put them on the replacement seat. a lot of gm seats will have the same bolt pattern, so the rails should bolt right on. if you are very mechanically inclined, you can make any seat fit by modifying the mounting brackets. this idea is a litle bit more advanced, since it involves cutting and reshapeing the brackets, and in some instances, a little welding. but try the first suggestion, as it will probally work for you.
