My car starts to shake when I hit 55MPH--what could be wrong?
Some of the answers her have been good, like disconnecting the battery. I had to park my car for three months when I was deployed, you may want to change your oil and add "slick 50" oil additive. This bonds to metallic areas like the cylinder walls. This will prevent a harsh metal-on-metal start up due to the residual lubrication remaining in these cylinder walls. It will also assist in keeping your valves from sticking after your car has sat for a while. I hope this helps and have a safe trip!let me borrow it. I'll keep it clean & I will keep the ho's out of it
Lend it to me, i'll look after it.
Anyone know where I can find a wiring diragram?
You could disconnect the battery else it will probably go flat, but it probably feeds your alarm battery so leave it connected and if it goes flat, it goes flat, but at least your alarm will work if needed.
Cars can sit quite happily for several months, just check the tyre pressures when you come back.
Any one tried carplan Triple Wax Metallic ?
3 months shouldn't be a problem. The cold wet winter is ending .When you get back before you start the engine ,change the oil. Any moisture in the oil will settle at the bottom. Don't ! put it up on blocks. Drive it easy the first time. Apply the breaks slowly to check them. There might be some wobble from the tires sitting in one place for so long. Radials will do that. It will smooth out in the first mile or so. Check all your fluids before your first ride and dont forget to check the water level in your battery. If your 3 months overseas is in the Iraq area get ready to be extended and good luck.More Questions & Answers ...
