check your fuses. you may have one about to go out. If you don't find the problem there, check the wiring. sometimes, after time, the wiring goes bad and you start having problems. I had that problem with my Expolrer. The radio display would only work after the truck ran for a while .. it was the wiring.

does anyone know if a detroit locker that is not limited slip is selectable.?

Could be a defective battery. Go to Sears and have them check the charge and charging capacity of your battery. They will most normally do this service for free (in hopes that if it is bad, you will buy a battery from them). If it is defective, they will show you the computer readout showing what is wrong.

Usually a car battery's charge is somewhere between 12-13.6 volts when the car is turned off, and while driving, it'll usually go up to about 14.8 volts.

rover 75 1.8 turbo airconditioning motor/fan continues to run after switch off. any suggestions as to why.?

Electronics in vehicles are designed to run off of 12-15 volts DC, and if the voltage is anywhere lower than 12, it won't be enough power to power anything up. If you have things that aren't powering up when the car is powered up, then the voltage may be slightly below 12 volts, and then after revving the engine, when normally the voltage would go up to 14 volts or so, yours may be just barely getting to 12 volts - and then the lights and the radio would power up.

where can i find a diagram for the removal and re fitting of the cylinder head gasket of a vauxhall frontera?

If the battery's voltage is fine, then that would mean that the battery itself AND the alternator was fine (as well as the wiring in between) and that would point to the problem being somewhere between the wiring coming from the battery and the vehicle's electrical system.

How long do black lights last?

it depend on the type of car it is.I would check all of your ground wire and straps from the engine to body.It could also be your ignition switch depending on the type of car.check all the wiring around your battery as corrosion can be a problem.also take the alternator and have it voltage and amperes tested It could have bad brushes in it or a weak voltage regulator.I would buy a Haynes or Chilton repair book and they can help more but this is a good start.hope this helps.
