Something is wrong is Cylinder 4. Could be valves are going, could mean that the piston rings are going, could be the head gasket is goingMy car won't start, but my lights, radio, heat, etc is fine (except they're a little dim)?
low compression usually means worn out or broke rings. There is always one cylinder that tends to go bad before the others. You can ask a parts store or dealer and they will tell you. What is the maintenance schedule for a 2003 Toyota Camry LE w/ 60,000 miles odometer.?
yeah u might need a valve job. it could be problems with the gasket, bad rings or bad rings. i dont think selling the car would be the thing to do right now. ask for a better diagnostic then make your decisionBreak Lights and Horn not working ... HELP!?
Yes, low compression means big money to correct.Sell it! 3.0 engines were garbage engines.Get your next Mopar vehicle with a 3.3 engine.Much better.I have 184,000 miles on mine and travelled 2600 miles round trip back when it had 173,000 miles.Did an oil and filter change at halfway point.it doesnt have to be a valve.it could be a stuck compression ring.well it depends on wheather you like the car,or not,to sell it.why dont you try and flushing the crankcase out.sometimes that will free a ring,if its stuck.
Car inspection Speedometer not working?
Low compression can be caused by a bad valve, bad head gasket or bad piston rings on a particular cylinder. Get an estimate of what the repair will cost including the power steering repair and make a determination as to whether the vehicle is worth putting that amount of money into.Do you need a turbo in order to install a cold air intake?
Low compression means its losing pressure, and you could just go to autozone for the leak in the power stearing. They have products to fix that and the other guy got the other reasons but if it was the headgasket it wouldn't lose compression in only piston 4 most likely yes you will need a valve job but if your into racing you could just have the engine bored and get new pistons and then just get bigger injectors and you may need to get a better fuel pump if you bore it out that big thoughI have a 96 Mustang and my check engine light keeps coming on.?
the average cylinder have mini mo of 150 lb.all cylinder must have the same.if one cylinder is lest on it caparison the piston is not working properly,or the valves at list one of them Duse not close and let ear coming out, and lousing cooperationthe power steering is laking it can be fix with 90 $and not more.just Chang the Ciel if you replace it it cos 475$ minim
so you are the jug, keep it or junket
How much of an effect does air conditioning have on my gas mileage?
Your mechanic should be able to do a 'Leak down test' to find out if its a valve; If it's a valve, he/she will still need to take apart part of top-end (of engine) to give an accurate estimate. Make sure you get a price on the how much this will cost so you dont get your car given back to you in pieces just in case it is rings or piston. Just be prepared..More Questions & Answers ...
