how much for brake change and to turn the rotors?

Don't fanny about with replacing just the ball joint, get a lower arm with new bushes included and replace the lot (rear mounts inside car i think). The cost is not very high and it saves you having to do it all over again in six months to replace the bushes!

To do the bearing properly you have to remove the complete hub (remove brake caliper, remove hub nut, disconnect steering and suspension strut). Press old one out and press new one in (you may need a garage to do this for you).

Auto-saavy people, can you help me with my car trouble?

You have made the mistake that being a mechanic Is knowing a few easy opparations. The job you have taken on requires equipment as well as knowledge , i will try to help , to remove the ball joint you need a ball joint splitter, it looks like a large tuning fork, the only other way is shock , where the shaft of the ball joint goes into the hub lower yoke strike that very sharply with a heavy hammer, it will get it free with some effort, the wheel bearing you will have to remove the hub completly from the car dont forget to remove the driveshaft nut first and tap the drive shaft out using a copper headed hammer so you do not damage the threads,
when you have the hub off, look on the inside and you will see a large circlip you will need circlip pliers to release, it then as you will not have a hydrolic press go to your local garage and ask him lf they will press out the old bearing and press in the new one , they will more than likley make a small charge , replace all componants finaly you must tighten the driveshaft nut to the correct torque.
