The car appears to be braking fine without problems, but the Abs light on the dashboard came on after a week following the repair job. The brake specialist said that this was a separate issue from the complete brake job. The light never came on before the repairs. New brake sensors were also installed at the time of the repairs. Any advice on this issue would be helpful.

You mean brake pad wear sensors, but those have nothing to do with the ABS wheel speed sensors. BMW's and Benz'es have electrical wear sensors that mount to the pads. Different light.If your ABS light is on, you have an ABS problem now. Your new brake pads are probably still fine.

Loose or poor connection at one of the wheel speed sensors, or a bad brand new wheel speed sensor. Take it back to the shop. They can do a scan and find out what THEY did wrong.Auto: Battery dies.. need help!?

judging from the year, i'd say it is time to get them checked and or changed out. Run a OBD check to see if there are any codes.
