check near the vin plate, there is an airbag label there. If it has a big X mark across it, they have been deployed. If not, then they are fine. They may have been replaced, also. Usually, once an airbag deploys, the airbag light will stay on until it is repaired/replaced.You won't ever know if it works or not, until it blows up in your face...ouch!
There are electrical tests to make sure there is power available, but if the bag isn't flopping out off the steering wheel or dash (passenger side), then no it hasn't deployed...
You can't fold them back up...

Get the carfax report.it contains airbag deployment info from the insurance companies.Also look under the front bumper.if it looks newer than the rest of the car, chances are it will be newer if deployment was the case.
