Nope... You’re putting stress on all the moving parts of that engine. Granted the transmission will often give out before the motor will but you asking, No you’re demanding that the engine give 120% of its self to get that car down the track as fast as possible. When I race at the strip or circuit. When I bring the girl home I listen and check everything out. I check to see if any of the seals are leaking, if there are any odd ticks or knocks. I check the transmission and see if she still feels the same. You will go though clutches quickly that is for sure. But you can cause the engine and transmission to fail if you dump at too high an RPM or your miss a shift just right you can break a shift fork. There are a lot of things that can go wrong. You will also want to check your fly wheel every time you have the clutch replaced. Take it and have it fluxed to make sure there are no hair line fractures in the flywheel. If that come apart as you go down the track you not only put your life in god’s hands but you put the life of the fans in his hands as well. I have seen flywheels tear cars up. A really good friend of mine is now in a wheel chair because his flywheel blew apart at the end of the night while he was making his last run. Cut his legs off half way below the knee. Always have the flywheel Fluxed for stress and replace every 3 clutch replacement. It's not something to mess around with. Spend the money to get the performance and race certified flywheel.Will headers help increase the sound of my exhaust?plez help?
