Question:
I own a Dodge 2500 HEMI. I get about 10 miles a gallon. This is even after putting on the Tornado Fuel Saver. So much for saving on fuel. Some people have told me that I do not get good gas mileage due to the 4:10 rear-end gears. Would this be true? If so, can I change it? What would be appropriate to change it to?

I seen in a HotRod Magizene the other day there is a bolt on overdrive. I think it costs 2000 dollars but it gives you twice the gears you have and a much highier top speed and faster acceleration and smoother shifting
Is there a fee for failing the smog test in Ca, and if so how much is it? I have a 88 honda accord.?
Nope.. you will not get anything above 8-10 around town. Dodges are known for their terrible mileage. I have an 03 Durango which gets 9 town and 16 highway with 3.92 rear gears. you can try a cold air intake and a high flowing muffler like Flowmaster. but it wont help that much. that is what I have on my Durango and it didnt help much. A hemi get good mileage?? Sorry but thats like asking the mouse not to eat the cheese. ;)That can be true. Ask you Dodge dealer. With the hemi, you are doing good a 10 mpg. You will not get much better no matter what you do.
just keep the engine tuned up and watch your driving habits.
What he said, keep your engine tuned up, take it easy, and if you can avoid driving.

How to intall a power window motor for 91 chevy pick up?
I like the answer of the overdrive. My question is for $2'000, you would have to really save a lot in gas to pay for that. I myself have spent over $47'000 on my truck alone just in fuel saving gadgets. I now get 191 mpg and will have to drive 820'000'000 miles to get these gadgets to pay for themselves. I would say, get a chip, performance enhancer, taller tires will do the same as changing gears. You can install them the next time you are due for new tires, this way, you kill two birds with one stone. I myself drive a pickup everyday, its just my ride of choice. The overdrive does make the difference, so does proper tire pressure and all the other free stuff you can do. One thing that has bothered me for a while, when someone I know spends $20'000 + on a new car because it gets 5 more mpg than their old car, they never figure how much they have to save to pay for the new car, interest and such. Really, If I drive an older car that I can work on myself, I would save so much money instead of paying mechanics $100 an hour to change out something simple. When changing tire size, get the adapter for your speedometer so it reads correctly. Get a better than factory air filter, there are so many things, so little time..Trade the damn thing in on a Yugo
