i own a repair shop and its usually the inside control unit that causes this to happen it may have a loose or bad vacuum line on it or the unit its self may have went bad ,those things go out once in a while,and you can get a good used one to put back in it,usually a used one will never give any problems,but that's probably whats wrong with it,good luck i hope this helps.
