GM has over 2 million FlexFuel Vehicles on the road today in all 50 states, able to operate on gasoline or on a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. By 2012, GM in partnership with Daimler-Chrysler and Ford, aim to have half of annual vehicle production be E85 flexible fuel or bio-diesel capable. So, you can choose the fuel that's best for you. That's good to know, because E85 fuel is not yet widely available. Also, vehicles running on E85 may have a cruising range that is about 25% shorter than the same vehicle operating on regular gasoline. The paragraph above was taken directly from the GM website. Below is a link that lists all the models that GM has that run on both gas and ethanol.
some manufactorers make propane equiped vehicles for special order, and propane is better than gasoline. And some diesel manufacteres offer a biodiesel warrenty so you can run diesels on biodiesel without worry. I don't know much about ethanol though
It's about the big oil companies making money, not saving the consumer money. YEARS ago there was technology that if utilized, would have made this whole gas price situation a myth. One of the huge oil companies BOUGHT the research and technology along with the rights so that NO ONE could ever use it...because using it would highly decrease a demand for their product...which was their bread and butter.

Because the government doesn't want the oil field to lose interest, because of the massive decrease in sales people would all just drop gas in general and go for ethonal... It's a huge deal but everything pretty much protects gas and oil...how to take out thermostat housing on a 98 civic dx??
