Question:
If i touched the red and the black wires on a car battery, would I get a big shock?

1998 corsa using excessive fuel?
No, 12 volts DC, will make you jump but won't hurt.50 volts DC is dangerous though so don't go that high.
Practice by holding a cattle fence, twelve volt shocks at interval and if all the family hold hands you can get it through five or six people.
Why will my check engine light come on my 05 impala?
nope its too low a voltage06 Cadillac Escalade question?
No, it's only 12 volts so you wouldn't feel it unless your hands were very wet.go ahead and try its only 12volts DC
No. Unless your hands were wet you wouldn't even feel it. Even with wet hands it would just be a weak tingling sensation.
If a car has 130,000 highway miles on it, is that bad?
Depends.99Chevy venture,radiators full,low coolant light comes on??
no, try it you will find that you have too much resistance so the 12 volts from your battery will follow the cables insteadSpeedometer repair In San Jose,ca?
Not if you are not touching any other metal part of the vehicle. The red (+) lead of the battery is connected to the starter motor and the distribution panel. The black (-) lead is attached directly to the engine and chassis of the vehicle. If you touch the red (+) or positive lead and the black (-) or negative lead while leaning of the metal frame, you could very well be jolted. Most likely you'll not get a shock at all. Your body is not as good a conductor of electricity as the cables are.
You might feel some tingling though.
How can I remove the wiper blade off a Chevy Monte Carlo?
Don't put your tongue on there.Truth in the matter is Don't let 12volts fool you. It's not the volts that harm you it's the AMP. Packed inside your coil is a sleeping 50K (50,000 volts) Do you think that will hurt? Most likely... It could put your Heart into fibrillation and you might be a goner. And you might just get knocked on your Butt. But by all means, Be The Man!! Try your Luck or NOT!
Depends if the engine was switched on , and the alternator was charging the battery up !
What does it mean when the... O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1)?
If we go back to basic units.
Amperes is actually coulombs/sec it is the flow rate of electrical charge
Volts has units of joules/coulomb and represents the driving force.

Drilled and Slotted Rotors and Ceramic pads....Will they affect ABS ??
It is the current measured in amps that creates the shock, and it is the volts that overcomes the resistance of the load. Using ohms law you can calculate how much voltage is required to deliver a fatal shock.

I sucked water through my air filter, have removed it what do i do now?
no shock. howeaver if you short it across when it's come off charge with tops removed or loosened you'l ignite the hyd gas and it'll give you eye and face full of sulphuric acid. iv'e seen it done by kerbside autos fitters who think you test a battery with a screwdriver. No you would not get a shock just sparks off the wires if you touch the red(+) and the black(-) to each other, however dont do that either or the battery may explode, as it did to me when I tried it 30 years ago, I was 13, and as they contain acid I still have the scars to show for it (now only when I get a suntan can you see them) BE CURIOUS AND SAFE NOT SORRY
