The rear disc pads ARE the emergency brake shoes. They are one and the same.
And no, you should not have to remove the DISC as there is NO HUB on disc brakes.

Just pull off the discs and you will see the shoes right in front of you, they are smaller than old standard brake shoes, but put together the same way, with springs. Just replace them and put the discs back on.

no u don't are your brakes bad if they are not some times and adjustment in the parking brake cable will fix the parking brake
