Question:
I got in a car wreck in Oct 25. Insurance final estimates provided to body shop in early November. Estimates indicate 24 days needed for repair. Insurance company paid Body shop. We are sitting here in Jan 20th (more than two months after supplemental estimates are issues) and the car is not ready. Let alone, the manager of the body shop refuses to provide with a written status and estimates for delivery of the car. He also never returns my calls. What kind of recourse do you I have? He is rude and improfessional (when I go to the shop they make me wait and then tell me he is busy). Insurance refuses to intervene (citing the fact that I chose him). To whom should I complain?
I see my car and I see that repairs are being made but I need a final date. I have been renting cars out of pocket since insurance covers only first 30 days. Any advice is greatly appreciated...

my 99 taurus is leaking antifreeze what should i do?
The Dept of Motor Vehicles usually issues licenses to these repair shops, try calling them and registering a complaint. Try going to Small Claims court and suing them for the cost of renting the car, due to their non compliance of the settlement with the insurance company. Report them to your local Better Business Bureau, and see what they will do or suggest.how do I make the check engine light go out on a 2006 toyota tundra?
contact better business bureau......have a consultation with a lawyer...Sue the body shop for the rental fees. Is all you can do. I'd get it into court as soon as possible as it will look worse for them if they don't have it done by time the judge reads the papers.

but if he did the work...and its done..then he should deliver your car...and it is quite unprofessional to skip out on a customers questions....he should be doing whatever he can to make your car a good as new....

but there are other things that could be stopping him from getting it done on time as he said...like parts not arriving at his shop on time or in a quality that he likes....so...take everything into account here, do some homework....and if your still not happy...call the better buissness orgnization in your area....call a lawer.....
