A new coil may have a schematic showing the wire connections so go to the parts store and look inside the box. Buy a repair manual for your car while your there. And you can get a one year online subscription to AllData's Do It Yourself fix it diagrams at http://www.AllData.com
Your local library has Chilton's and Motor's repair manuals. If you run into somebody that owns the same car, ask them to let you see how their coil is hooked up.
