I have a problem with my 93 mx-3. When I turn on my headlights or car stereo, it causes the engine to make loud rattling noises. When I pressed the brakes the rattling becomes louder. What could be the problem?

Im agree with one of the other guys. I think its an alt. problem, because when you push on the brake you turn on the brake lights. sounds like you have a bad bushing in the alt. to meVan won't start, but everything else works.?
i think you have electrical problem on your car. when you break problem comes with your breaklights..so go to mechanic my friend or you can toast your self!!It sounds unrelated but the things to check for are first vaccum leaks anywhere on the engine, and The fuel pressure regulator. I know it sounds screwy but I ran into this myself and that's what was wrong.
